It is permissible for a fasting person to anoint themselves with oil, as stated in the fatwas of the Permanent Committee for Issuing Fatwas: "If someone oils their head during the daytime in while fasting, their fast is not invalidated." Sheikh Ibn Baz concurred with this in his Fatawa Nur ala al-Darb, stating that "oiling the limbs with oil or anything else does not harm the fasting person."
