It is permissible to use mouth freshener (spray) during the daytime in , provided that nothing from it reaches the throat, and that any residue is expelled. Miswak is sufficient as an alternative, bearing in mind that the smell of a fasting person's mouth is beloved by Allah because it is a result of an act of obedience.
