Is the punishment intensified for one who has intercourse during the daytime in Ramadan?

Intentionally breaking the fast in Ramadan (definition) is a grave sin, and some scholars have considered it among the major sins (al-kaba'ir). It is narrated from Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The bonds of Islam and the foundations of the religion are three, upon which Islam is built. Whoever abandons one of them is a disbeliever thereby, whose blood is lawful: the testimony that there is no god but Allah, the prescribed prayer, and the fasting of Ramadan." Whoever intentionally breaks their fast for one day in Ramadan must repent and seek forgiveness. The major expiation (kaffarah (definition) kubra) is incumbent upon him, which is fasting for two consecutive months or feeding sixty poor people. This ruling applies to men. As for women, the expiation is not incumbent upon them, according to the more preponderant opinion.
