A sick person who is unable to fast, with an inability that is not expected to cease, must pay a for each day. Its مقدار is approximately 750 grams of the staple food of the people of the land, or by providing one satisfying meal to a needy person. It is not permissible to pay the fidyah for any day before the start of its night.
