Does the continued presence of a physical mark resulting from a past sin indicate the non-acceptance of repentance, and is there a supplication (du'a) or ruqyah for its removal? Allah has legislated repentance and promised mercy and forgiveness to those who repent. Among the conditions for sincere repentance are: sincerity to Allah, abstaining from the sin, regretting it, resolving not to return to it, and that it be before the death rattle. The repenter should have a good opinion of Allah and avoid the whisperings of Satan. Among the signs of sincere repentance are: feeling remorse for shortcomings, avoiding sins, associating with the righteous, and appreciating the blessing of repentance. There is no specific supplication or ruqyah (definition) to remove the mentioned mark, and a Muslim can supplicate with whatever he wishes. It is also advised to present oneself to a righteous man for marriage.
