How can a mother guide her only son and raise him according to the teachings of Islam before her death, especially since he will live in a non-Islamic country, and his father cannot be trusted with his religious upbringing, and his grandparents are old and unable to care for him?

We ask Allah to grant you healing and well-being, and we advise you to pray for your son's guidance. Begin by helping him memorize the Qur'an and teaching him the manners of Islam when he is old enough to learn. Try to connect him with children from Muslim families in that country, and enroll him in a reliable Islamic school or center to learn Arabic, the fundamentals of the religion, and the rules of Islam. Encourage him to frequent the mosque and attend its Friday and congregational prayers. If it is possible to settle with him in an Islamic country, this would be the optimal solution.
