Is it permissible for a woman to slaughter with her own hand? Thank you.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) affirmed the permissibility of eating from what a woman slaughters, whether she is free or enslaved, old or young, Muslim or from the People of the Book, ritually pure or impure. This is based on what is narrated in Sahih (definition) al-Bukhari, where he (peace be upon him) commanded the eating of a sheep slaughtered by a woman using a stone, and similarly, a sheep slaughtered by a young female servant of Ka'b ibn Malik, without seeking further details. This is the view of the majority of scholars.
