Is it permissible to establish political parties in Islamic countries, and is it permissible to form a party in the name of Islam?

Partisanship for Islam and its support are an obligation and a duty. As for establishing parties in Islamic countries, it is detailed as follows: Secular, communist, nationalist, and similar parties are not permissible to establish due to the sin, aggression, and discord they entail. As for charitable associations, their establishment is recommended due to the benefits they provide. If by "groups" what is meant are da'wah (preaching) parties, then collective action is legitimate and encouraged, as long as it does not lead to fanaticism and rejection of the truth. Cooperation should be extended to groups that adopt the methodology of Ahlus-Sunnah (definition) wal-Jama'ah. Truth is not known by men, and the truth must be accepted from whoever brings it, and a Muslim's loyalty is to the truth, not to a specific group. The pledge of allegiance (bay'ah) mentioned in the hadith (definition) is for the general Imam whom people unite upon. These groups may not be equally sound in their methodology, and Islam is not limited to them; they are a means for da'wah, not an end. We advise contenting oneself with the existing groups.
