What is the ruling on a Muslim woman riding a roller coaster, knowing that she screams during the ride?

There is no objection to a woman riding a roller coaster as long as it does not lead to a Sharia (definition)-forbidden act, such as her 'awrah being exposed in the presence of non-mahram (definition) men, or her suffering harm. The basic ruling for such matters is permissibility, based on the Almighty's saying: "He is the One Who created for you all that is in the earth." Her screaming is not forbidden, as a woman's voice is not considered 'awrah according to the more preponderant opinion. However, she should not intentionally scream, so as to maintain the modesty required of her. It is better for a Muslim woman to avoid such rides, which may not be free from prohibitions.
