The answer

Eating the spleen and other parts of an animal that are permissible is Islamically lawful, based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Two dead animals and two types of blood have been made lawful for us. As for the two dead animals, they are fish and locusts. As for the two types of blood, they are the liver and the spleen." All parts of an animal that has been lawfully slaughtered are permissible, except for gushing blood.
