Do the 'Aqiqah and the vow count if most of the meat of the sacrificed animals is spoiled, despite a sound intention at the time of slaughter?

Aqīqah is a Sunnah (definition). The spoilage of its meat after slaughtering does not prevent its validity, by analogy with Uḍḥiyah. As for a vowed Aqīqah, it is obligatory. If its meat spoils, the one who made the vow must buy meat equivalent to the value of what spoiled and give it in charity, or buy a replacement for the vowed Aqīqah. He is not required to re-slaughter because the shedding of blood has already occurred.
