For a sales contract to be valid, the price must be known and specified. If a sheep is sold for the weight of its meat after slaughter, the sale is not valid due to the uncertainty of the price. This is agreed upon by the four schools of thought (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi'i, and Hanbali), because ignorance of the price leads to dispute and invalidates the sale. Therefore, the aforementioned sale is not valid.
