Salawat
Salawat are blessings invoked on the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, most commonly 'peace and blessings be upon him' after his name. Hadith describe reciting them as a means of drawing God's blessing on the person who says them. They are recited within prayer during the tashahhud, and encouraged more broadly.
