Can a woman who has entered into ihram for Hajj At-Tamattu‘ and performed ‘Umrahs, then experienced a valid shar‘i excuse preventing her from performing Tawaf Al-Ifadah between the 9th and 17th of Dhul-Hijjah, and she is required to depart on the 17th, intend Qiran and perform ‘Umrahs on behalf of her deceased relatives without any problem?

The scholars differed regarding the ruling on repeating Umrah (definition) during a single journey. The correct view is that it is not recommended. So, whoever enters Mecca to perform Umrah should not repeat it, unless they travel to another city for a need and then return to Mecca, in which case it is permissible for them to enter into ihram (definition) for another Umrah.

What many people do today by repeating Umrah during a single journey is not from the guidance of the Prophet (peace be upon him) nor his companions. It is disliked by the consensus of the predecessors of the Ummah, and none of them did it.

As for the menstruating woman, if she has not performed the Tawaf (definition) al-Ifadah, she must wait until she becomes pure and then perform the circumambulation. Her presence in a convoy is not an excuse to abandon the circumambulation, unless it is impossible for her to remain in Mecca or return to it except with extreme difficulty. In such a case, it is permissible for her to perform the circumambulation in her state after performing ghusl (definition) and binding her clothes.
