It is disliked to assume the state of before the according to the Maliki and Hanbali schools, and it is one of the two opinions of the Shafi'i school. However, the Ihram is valid and effective in this case. It is preferable that the Ihram begins from the Miqat, in emulation of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and the Companions, may Allah be pleased with them. It is recommended for the pilgrim to perform and wear the Ihram garments from their home, and to intend the at the Miqat so that their ' does not begin with something disliked.
