Should my wife make the Ihram for Umrah from the sea or from Jeddah, knowing that she is coming from Sudan, and we will spend more than three days in Jeddah before traveling to my workplace, and is it permissible for us to make the Ihram from Jeddah if we postpone the Umrah?

The questioner and his family must enter into a state of from the they pass through, and it is not permissible to delay it until Jeddah. Whoever delays Ihram must return to the Miqat to enter into Ihram from it. If he enters into Ihram from Jeddah, he is obligated to offer a sacrifice (dam) for abandoning one of the obligatory rituals of the Hajj/.
