The Ifadah circumambulation ( al-Ifadah) for the Qarin (one performing Hajj and together) suffices for both his Hajj and Umrah, based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) statement to Aisha: "Your circumambulation of the House and between Safa and Marwa will suffice for your Hajj and your Umrah." As for the arrival circumambulation (Tawaf al-Qudum), it is a greeting to the House and a , and it has no connection to Umrah.
