So, if a Muslim resides in Jeddah, which is within the miqat boundaries, and intends to perform Hajj, they may enter into ihram from Jeddah. However, it is better and preferable to enter into ihram from the miqat (Qarn al-Manazil) if they are coming, for example, from the Eastern Province, because they are considered a new arrival.
