Is it permissible to seek financial assistance from philanthropists to perform the obligatory Hajj, and is the Hajj valid with these funds?

The majority of scholars agree that it is disliked to ask people for money for the purpose of Hajj. However, Hajj is valid if performed with gifted money or money obtained through asking. Furthermore, it is not obligatory to accept gifted money for Hajj, except if a parent gifts it to their child or vice-versa, according to the Shafi'is.
