What is required of a woman who performed Hajj but did not perform Tawaf al-Ifadah intending to combine it with Tawaf al-Wadaa, then menstruated and performed Tawaf al-Wadaa while she was menstruating, then performed Umrah a year later and only performed Tawaf al-Umrah with the intention of Tawaf al-Wadaa?

A woman's circumambulation (Tawaf (definition)) while menstruating is not valid according to the majority of scholars, because purity is a condition for the validity of Tawaf. Her previous Tawaf upon her return to Mecca is considered Tawaf al-Ifadah (the circumambulation of outpouring), so her entering into Ihram (definition) for Umrah (definition) is invalid because she had not yet completed the second stage of desacralization (tahallul al-thani) from her Hajj. As for the prohibitions she committed before Tawaf al-Ifadah: if she was ignorant, there is a difference of opinion regarding her excuse; if she was aware, then she must offer one expiatory sacrifice (fidyah (definition)) for each type of prohibition she committed. The fidyah is: sacrificing a sheep, or fasting for three days, or feeding six poor people.
