Scholars have differed regarding a woman traveling for Hajj without a . Some have prohibited it, citing the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: “It is not permissible for a woman to travel for a day and a night except with a mahram.” Others have permitted it for obligatory Hajj when there is no fear of fitna for her, when safe company is available, and when fear is absent.
