Is it permissible for a girl to travel to Egypt to study at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif without a mahram?

As for a woman traveling without a mahram (definition) for something other than the obligatory Hajj, it is not permissible, due to the Prophet (peace be upon him) saying: "It is not lawful for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to travel for a day and a night unless she is accompanied by a mahram." The fundamental principle is that a woman should remain in her home, and she can complete her higher education, such as a doctorate, at Al-Azhar with her husband or a mahram.
