The answer

Your family does not have the right to prevent you from wearing the , as it is an obligation upon every adult Muslim woman, based on the Almighty's saying: ﴿O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments.﴾ And it is not permissible to obey them in disobedience to Allah, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "There is no obedience in sin; obedience is only in what is good." You must wear the hijab and be patient in doing so. Traveling alone to Muslim countries is not advised unless there is a safe place.
