The mother's right is great, and honoring her is one of the greatest acts of worship. Strive to honor your mother and be good to her, and apologize to her for anything that may have emanated from you. If your travel causes harm to your religion or body, or an unbearable hardship, then there is no blame upon you for refraining from traveling. However, be gentle with your mother and be good to her in word and deed. But if there is no harm, then do not refrain from traveling and seek reward from Allah.
