What are the particularities of Hajj for women that distinguish them from men?

Hajj is an obligation upon women; it is their jihad. It requires sincerity to Allah, adherence to the Sunnah (definition), and avoidance of shirk (definition) and sins. She is not permitted to travel without a mahram (definition). A woman in ihram (definition) may wear any pure, unadorned clothing she wishes, but she must beware of tabarruj (displaying her adornments) or imitating men. She is forbidden from applying perfume, removing hair, clipping nails, and wearing a niqab or gloves, but she may cover her face and hands with her garment. A menstruating woman may enter ihram and delay the tawaf (definition) until she is pure. She is permitted to use menstrual delay pills. She must avoid crowding with men, and there is no ramal (brisk walking) for her in tawaf nor rakd (running) in sa'i. One must beware of innovated supplications. A menstruating woman is permitted to read the Quran without touching the mushaf (definition). The entire body must be covered. Women are permitted to depart from Muzdalifah before dawn. Delaying the ramy (stoning) of the jamarat (definition) at night is permissible during crowds. A woman is not permitted to allow her husband to have intercourse with her until after complete tahallul (exiting ihram). It is not permissible to uncover hair in front of non-mahram men. One must avoid sleeping in front of men in public places. There is no farewell tawaf for menstruating or post-natal women.
