What is the ruling on relationships between young men and women if they are limited to talking and walking without committing indecency?

Adultery and everything that leads to it are prohibited, as Allah Almighty says: "And do not approach unlawful sexual intercourse. Indeed, it is ever an immorality and a worst way." Therefore, excessive mingling with women, prolonged unnecessary conversations with them, forbidden gazes, and soft speech are all catalysts leading to adultery. Means are subject to the same ruling as their ends; whoever hovers around the sanctuary is likely to fall into it. It is not permissible to establish any relationship between a man and a non-mahram (definition) woman, whether by phone or otherwise, and one must wish for others what one wishes for oneself.
