Is it permissible for the muezzin to accept the sheep offered to him with the intention of curing the donor's wife of infertility, based on the advice of a shaykh?
The Prophet (peace be upon him) encouraged seeking treatment for illnesses and mentioned that charity is one of the causes of healing. Therefore, whoever's wife is afflicted with infertility should increase in charity and lawful , in addition to consulting doctors. As for gifting a ram to the muezzin with the intention of healing, if this is due to a belief in the specific efficacy of gifting a sheep or to the muezzin, then it is a form of charlatanism and superstition, as there is no evidence for its permissibility. However, if the ram is gifted to the muezzin due to his need or his righteousness, there is no harm in it. One should not accept this ram if it is given based on this false belief, as it involves cooperation in sin and aggression.
