The answer

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah mentioned two opinions on this issue, and we incline towards prohibition. Pointing with the index finger at orifices and reciting Ayah al-Kursī while pointing at each one has no basis, and we fear it might fall under innovation (bid‘ah), so it should be abandoned. It is best for a Muslim to perform on themselves, and they must adhere to the obligatory duties, avoid sins, maintain the morning and evening remembrances (adhkār), and frequently supplicate (du‘ā’).
