The question

Is this suffering, which has been continuous for seven years and includes obsessive-compulsive disorder in prayer, psychological problems, hatred of parents, nightmares, difficulty completing education, and urinary incontinence during ablution and prayer, in addition to difficulty repenting, a result of spiritual possession (mass), and what should be done about it?

The answer

Touch (of Jinn) and magic are real, and it is prescribed to protect oneself and seek healing from them through legitimate (incantation) and by regularly reciting adhkar (remembrances of Allah). One must stay away from sorcerers. The door of repentance is open for all sins as long as the soul has not reached the throat and the sun has not risen from its west. The conditions for repentance are: abandoning the sin, regretting it, and resolving not to return to it. Obsessive-compulsive disorder is an illness in which Satan assists in making a Muslim abandon acts of worship. Its cure is by turning to Allah through supplication and remembrance, distracting oneself from it, and not paying attention to it. It is advised to seek Allah's help and strive for marriage.
