What is the reason for the condition of a twenty-year-old girl, living in a well-off family, who suddenly changed and began to hate life and think of suicide, refusing to meet people, not praying, not listening to the Quran, rejecting ruqyah, not drinking water, eating, or sleeping well, and believing that God despises her, while refusing any food sent to their home except for food from a woman they suspect of having bewitched her, and what is the solution to get her out of her miserable state?

If the girl is bewitched, the best treatment is to break the spell by lawful means, which involves destroying and burning the magic while reciting the Mu'awwidhat (Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas) if its location is known. Otherwise, it is by means of Ruqyah (definition) Shar'iyah (Islamic exorcism) with wisdom and gentleness.

If she is psychologically ill, the treatment is to bring her out of her isolation and integrate her with wise, optimistic people, for isolation and idleness increase negative emotions. One should also be patient and make Du'a' (supplication).
