What is the ruling on modifying the lips due to the appearance of all of the gums and teeth?

There is no objection to cosmetic surgeries that remove harm or a disfiguring defect in creation, unlike those performed to seek beauty and enhance attractiveness. Therefore, if the lip is defective with an unusual and disfiguring flaw, it is not forbidden to perform a surgery that restores it to its normal state.
