It is also recommended to be patient in the face of affliction, seeking reward, and to strive in supplication (Du'a) and legal (exorcism) using the Quran and established prophetic invocations. One should beware of sorcerers and charlatans. It is also recommended to consult a trusted psychiatrist for treatment, in compliance with the Prophet's (peace be upon him) command to seek medical treatment.
