Is it permissible for a pharmacy student to inject frogs with substances that may kill them during practical exams for the "Pharma" course?

There is no harm in conducting experiments on animals and dissecting them for the purpose of learning medicine or similar fields that people need, as long as the purpose is legitimate and not for amusement. If students have no choice regarding the type of animal, or if the need dictates dissecting animals whose killing is prohibited, such as frogs, there is no harm in that. Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen issued a fatwa (definition) permitting dissection out of necessity, with the obligation to anesthetize the animal and purify anything that was impure after death. Therefore, there is no harm for the questioner in taking the exam.
