The answer

It is not permissible for a Muslim woman to remove her in front of non- men, based on the Almighty's saying: "O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they should be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful" (Quran 33:59), and His saying: "And when you ask [his wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition" (Quran 33:53). An exception to this is in cases of necessity, such as medical treatment by a doctor, as the Almighty says: "except what you have been compelled to" (Quran 6:119). However, in front of women or mahram relatives, there is no harm in removing it, provided there is no fear of temptation.
