It is forbidden for a man to look at or touch the 'awrah of another man, except in cases of necessity, such as medical treatment, and the necessity is to be estimated by its extent. A man's 'awrah is what is between the navel and the knee. If the massage involves the 'awrah, then it is forbidden except for medical treatment, provided that the massage is definitively a treatment and neither spouse is capable of performing it for the other. However, if the massage is not in the area of the 'awrah, then there is no objection to it.
