Is the financial grant determined by the psychiatrist considered permissible, given that I do not follow his medical prescription and only rely on the remembrance of Allah and patience?
Treatment with Dhikr (remembrance of Allah), supplication, and Shar'iyah (Islamic exorcism) is among the most beneficial types of treatment. Furthermore, patience in illness is prescribed. Medical treatment and the use of medicine are also prescribed, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) sayings: "For every disease there is a cure," and "Seek medical treatment, for Allah Almighty has not created a disease without also creating a cure for it." As for the monthly stipend granted due to illness, there is no harm in taking it as long as the illness persists. However, it is not advisable to abandon medication because of it, as the grantor might not understand the non-use of medicine.
