Third: It is impermissible for a non-mahram man to treat a non-mahram woman unless there is a necessity. This necessity must be estimated according to its true extent. Therefore, examination is not permissible for the slightest reason, nor is looking beyond the site of pain permissible, nor is privacy between the therapist and the patient permissible. Touching a non-mahram woman by a man and vice-versa is forbidden, and wearing gloves is less severe if there is a necessity for treatment.
