Is it permissible for a woman to break her fast for the purpose of undergoing an imaging procedure that requires drinking liquids, and which cannot be performed at night in Europe due to its urgency, according to her opinion and that of the specialist?

So long as the aforementioned scan is necessary for the woman, cannot be done at night, and she cannot postpone it until after Ramadan (definition), she is permitted to break her fast on that day to enable her to undergo the examination. This is because she is in the category of the sick person for whom Allah has permitted breaking the fast and commanded to make up for it, as He states: ﴿But whoever among you is ill or on a journey, [then] an equal number of other days [are to be made up].﴾
