The ruling on looking at the image of the shadow of a unveiled woman has been previously explained: it is not forbidden unless one fears temptation. If it is highly probable that temptation will occur by looking at this shadow, then it is forbidden; otherwise, it is not. However, avoiding this altogether is preferable and closer to safety.
