Is it permissible to sell still-image film (regular photographic film) in a commercial shop?

If the images in films are photographic, free from anything that contradicts Islamic law such as nudity, then there is no objection to buying or selling them, whether they are of animate beings or inanimate objects. The permissibility of images of inanimate objects is a matter of consensus, unlike those of animate beings, which are a subject of dispute. However, if the images are hand-drawn or of animate beings, then it is not permissible to sell them due to the prohibition stated in this regard.
