The answer

It is permissible to sell gold containing beads and precious stones for paper currency if there is mutual consent, and there is no requirement to separate them and weigh them. However, if it is sold for other gold, it is required to separate it and sell it by weight, like for like, according to the more preponderant opinion of the majority of scholars. There is no harm in the difference in the method of buying and selling between merchants and customers as long as it is by mutual consent, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, selling is by mutual consent."
