Purchasing profit and loss cards is considered prohibited gambling () because it relies on risking what has been paid. Therefore, it is not permissible to engage in it or work with it. One must seek another occupation. Furthermore, competitions that depend on a prize are not permissible except in matters authorized by Islamic law for the purpose of strengthening and elevating the religion.
