The answer

Health insurance can be of two types: one is forbidden (), which is commercial insurance based on (excessive uncertainty) and qimar (gambling). It is not permissible to subscribe to it by choice, and whoever subscribes to it may only benefit to the extent of what they contributed. The other type is permissible cooperative (takaful) insurance, which is adopted by Islamic insurance institutions. There is no harm in subscribing to it and benefiting from what it offers. It is not permissible to add a daughter to commercial insurance. However, there is no harm in adding her to cooperative takaful insurance.
