Working in a fund that imposes a late payment penalty on those unable to pay is forbidden, as this constitutes usury (riba) and cooperation in sin, as stated in the noble verse: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression." It is not permissible to work in it except out of extreme necessity, with the obligation to leave it immediately once permissible work becomes available.
