Is it forbidden to strive to obtain the American Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certificate?

There is no religious impediment to learning arithmetic and obtaining the highest certifications in it from any institution, unless there is an external religious prohibition. Muslims have given attention to this science due to their knowledge of its importance in their lives and religion. However, it is not permissible for a Muslim to use this knowledge in forbidden matters, such as accounting for interest-based banks or institutions that deal in the unlawful.
