The answer

The profession of "chartered accountant" is not free from Sharia violations, the most important of which are:

1. Cooperation in sin and aggression: by writing the accounts of companies that deal in forbidden things such as alcohol and tobacco, and hotels that encourage vice, for Allah Almighty says: (And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression) Al-Ma'idah/2.

2. Writing and documenting usury: as most companies are not free from usurious loans or accounts, and the job involves writing these accounts, and (the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the one who consumes usury, the one who feeds it, its scribe, and its two witnesses. And he said: They are all equal) Narrated by Muslim (1598).

The Permanent Committee for Issuing Fatwas and Sheikh Ibn Baz have issued a fatwa stating that this profession is not permissible if it involves cooperation in sin and aggression and writing usury.
