A Muslim is not permitted to engage in usury under any circumstances. Both the one who consumes usury and the one who provides it are cursed by the tongue of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and both are equally in danger. Whoever abandons something for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better. And whoever fears Allah, He will enrich him from His bounty and relieve his distress. Allah chooses what is best for His servant.
