Is it permissible to use the interest gained from an amount deposited in a conventional bank to cover the costs of a visa and plane ticket for my mother to perform 'Umrah?

One must repent from engaging in usury and withdraw money from a usurious bank, and dispose of the interest for the benefit of Muslims. It is not permissible to spend the interest on Umrah (definition) expenses. Consuming usury and dealing in it are among the greatest major sins. Its prohibition has been established by the Quran, the Sunnah (definition), and the consensus of scholars. For one who performs Umrah with unlawfully acquired money, their Umrah is valid but without reward or acceptance.
