Is it permissible to write a research paper about heresy in Christianity, including a defense of the divinity of Christ, as a compulsory university assignment, knowing the error of this belief?

It is impermissible to attend Christian lectures that affirm the divinity of Christ, because listening to disbelief and affirming it is religiously forbidden, due to His Almighty saying: (And He has already revealed to you in the Book that when you hear the verses of Allah disbelieved in and ridiculed, do not sit with them until they engage in another conversation. Indeed, in that case, you would be like them). This applies to listening to lessons, reviewing, writing, or supporting, and it is one of the gravest evils. This study is a means of Christianization, and one must leave the university and search for another that teaches Islam, even if it is by distance learning. Sheikh Ibn Jibreen, may Allah have mercy on him, issued a fatwa (definition) against students going to churches to listen to priests, fearing deception. Preserving one's religion takes precedence over any other interest.
