Is money received from an Islamic bank as an Umrah prize permissible, and must Umrah be performed with it, or is it permissible to dispose of it?

The lender is not permitted to benefit from the borrower, based on the hadith (definition), "Every loan that draws a benefit is usury (riba)." However, an exception is made if the benefit arises from another legitimate cause unrelated to the loan. Deposit holders are often lenders to banks. If the bank gives prizes to encourage customers to deposit and engage in Sharia (definition)-compliant investment, then there is no harm in depositing and benefiting from its prizes. However, if the motive for the prizes is to seek profit and increase the number of customers, then depositing and benefiting from the prizes is not permissible. In the case of permissibility, the expenditure of prizes for purposes other than Umrah (definition) depends on the condition set by the donor.
